Privacy Policy

We built Kevio with one rule: your health data is yours. It never leaves your device.

This Privacy Policy describes how Kevio ("we", "our", or "the app") handles information when you use the Kevio medicine tracker application on your iPhone. We take your privacy seriously, especially because this app is used to manage personal health information.

The short version: Kevio stores all data 100% on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or share any of your personal or health data. There are no servers. There is no account. Nothing leaves your phone.

This is not a policy of minimising collection. It is a policy of zero collection by design. Kevio was built from the ground up to function entirely on-device, with no backend infrastructure and no analytics whatsoever.

Information You Enter

When you use Kevio, you may enter:

All of this information is stored exclusively on your iPhone using local device storage. We have no servers and no backend. We cannot access your data because there is no pathway for it to reach us. It is never transmitted anywhere.

Information We Do NOT Collect

Kevio does not collect:

We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or any third-party tracking libraries. The app requires no internet connection to function.

Notifications

Kevio uses Apple's local notification system to deliver medicine reminders. These notifications are generated entirely on your device by iOS. No data is sent anywhere. You can enable or disable notifications at any time in the app's Settings or in your iPhone's system Settings.

Home Screen Widget

The Kevio widget displays your next scheduled dose on your iPhone home screen. Widget data is shared between the app and the widget extension using Apple's App Group mechanism, which is a sandboxed, device-local container. This data never leaves your device.

iCloud Sync (Future Feature)

A future version of Kevio may offer optional iCloud backup and sync. If and when this feature is introduced, it will use Apple's iCloud infrastructure, your data will remain under your Apple ID's privacy protections, and participation will be entirely opt-in. This Privacy Policy will be updated at that time.

Children's Privacy

Kevio is designed for use by individuals managing their own or their family's medication. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. Since Kevio collects no data from anyone, this distinction is largely theoretical, but we want to be transparent about it.

Data Security

Your data is protected by iOS's built-in device encryption and app sandboxing. We recommend using a device passcode or Face ID/Touch ID to secure access to your device and, by extension, your Kevio data. If you lose your device, your data is protected by iOS encryption.

Your Rights & Choices

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you are in full control:

Third-Party Services

Kevio does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks. The app is distributed through the Apple App Store, which has its own privacy practices governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, for example when introducing iCloud sync, we will update this page and display a notice within the app. The date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last revised.
